Why it’s Essential to Integrate After a Healing Journey

If you are on a healing journey, I want to commend you for showing up and doing the hard work.  It's not easy to face our shadows.  So give yourself a big hug because the work you are doing is having a profound effect not only for YOU, but for the collective as well.  🤗

After experiencing a healing, you may feel a mix of emotions that range from exhaustion to bliss.  A healing creates a bridge to your unconscious mind, bringing your shadows into the light.  In the days and weeks following a healing journey, many feelings may continue to bubble to the surface.  Therefore, it is important to be kind and have extra compassion for yourself.

10 Ways to Integrate After a Healing Journey

1)  Journal

Write down any insights, revelations, and realizations that came up for you. Reflect upon the messages and visions you have received.  Even if some things that came up don't make sense right now, trust that all will be revealed in time when you are ready.

2) Spend Time in Nature
It is essential to ground yourself after a healing.  There is nothing more grounding than being in nature.  If possible, take off your shoes and place your bare feet on the Earth to connect with Mother energy.

3)  Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water to cleanse, release and keep the energy flowing.  Our bodies are made up of 60 - 85% water and adequate hydration is key to health.
4)  Take a Salt Bath
Salt baths are a powerful way to release any lingering energetic debris.  Himalayan salt, natural sea salt or epsom salts work best.

5)  Spend Time Alone
After a healing journey, spending time alone is key to protecting your energy while you integrate.  However, do not isolate yourself.  Be sure to connect with those who are high frequency.

6)  Meditate
Meditation will help you deal with the emotions and feelings that continue to rise to the surface as you integrate.

7)  Relax
In our hustle and grind culture, we don't give our body, mind, and soul the rest it needs.  Be sure to get plenty of sleep and take it easy as you integrate your healing journey.

8)  Stretch
Gentle movement, such as yoga or kundalini dance, encourages energy flow in your body.  This is helpful to ensure that any released emotions don't get stuck in the body.

9)  Eat Grounding Foods
It is normal to feel "spacey" or in an altered state for some time after a healing journey.  Consume root vegetables and plenty of protein to keep you grounded as you integrate.

10) Don't Make Big Decisions
A lot can come up during a healing journey, which may have you questioning your life path.  If this happens, don't make any drastic changes or big decisions.  Give yourself the space and time you need to reflect and integrate before making any key decisions.

I encourage you to connect with your ancestors and guides for help as you continue to integrate.   Remember to always have gratitude and maintain a sense of humour as you continue on your healing journey.  I am sending many blessings your way!
