DIY Natural All-Purpose Cleaner

I recently heard that researchers have discovered the equivalent of one plastic spoon's worth of microplastics in the human brain. These forever chemicals and microplastics aren’t just damaging our environment—they’re harming us too. Everything is interconnected.

One way I support my body’s natural detoxification is through fasting. But cleansing isn’t just about what we put into our bodies—it’s also about what we bring into our homes. Many conventional household cleaners contain harmful chemicals, and since our skin is our largest organ, we absorb what we come into contact with. Plus, we inhale these products. That’s why I feel so much better knowing I’m using natural alternatives that keep my family safe.

If you're concerned about effectiveness, essential oils have been proven to reduce bacteria without disrupting our natural microbiome. It’s possible to have a clean home without compromising our health!

DIY Natural All-Purpose Cleaner:

1/2 cup White Vinegar
1/2 cup Isopropyl Alcohol (70% or higher)
Distilled Water
3 drops Tea Tree EO (one of the most powerful natural disinfectants)
3 drops Lemon EO (helps break down grease and has antibacterial properties)
3 drops Eucalyptus EO (great for killing germs and freshening the air)
3 drops Orange EO (cuts through grease and grime and is antibacterial)
3 drops Rosemary EO (antimicrobial and antifungal)

Combine the vinegar, alcohol, and essential oils in a dark-coloured glass spray bottle. You can top up with distilled water. To preserve the potency of the oils—avoid clear glass. I use a 16 oz glass bottle. Since essential oils can break down plastic over time, always opt for glass. Before each use, gently shake to mix the essential oils. Spray onto surfaces, wipe with a cloth, and let dry.
